The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Information Technology Integration manager with responsibility for planning and coordinating the installation, testing, modifying, upgrading, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems for the 363 ISRW.
Duties
DUTY 1: Performs services as a systems integration manager: Plans, coordinates, and installs applications software and hardware for 363 ISRW operating systems. Administers and maintains assigned systems.
DUTY 2: Provides technical guidance and instruction to users and other IT specialists. Prepares, coordinates, and implements policy and procedures for hardware and software applications system operation.
DUTY 3: Serves as an IT technical advisor to 363 ISRW management. Participates as a key member and advisor on special committees and special projects designed to study methods to enhance the use of information technology throughout the 363 ISRW.
DUTY 4: Maintains liaison with manufacturers, professional organizations, and counterparts at other installations and services regarding available products and state-of-the-art technologies and advancements.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: mastery of and skill in applying advance IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices in order to provide technical oversight and advisory services regarding IT functions and operations. Expert knowledge to advise on policy development sufficient to develop and interpret policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of services.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Broad knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices for integrating information system components sufficient to plan, coordinate, and administer computer systems, and optimize system performance.
2. Awareness of the latest advancements in technology to initiate corrective or preventative action to ensure optimum performance of the system.
3. Advanced knowledge of performance tuning tools, database management, and project management methods sufficient to optimize systems performance, troubleshoot database performance problems, and perform a wide range of systems administration functions.
4. Advanced knowledge of operating systems, associated devices, and the interoperability of systems sufficient to install, upgrade, troubleshoot, test, and maintain those systems; to optimize the functionality and performance of systems; and to ensure the availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of servers.
5. Ability to apply methods and practices for troubleshooting, recovering, adjusting, modifying, and improving systems to solve complex problems, provide support that minimizes interruptions in service to customers, and maintain liaison with industry and other activities to provide awareness of state-of-the-art technology.
6. Ability to communicate orally and in writing.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Clearance. This position is designated Special Sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
This position is in the excepted service authorized by Title 10 USC and covered by the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The employee must also sign a Statement of Understanding prior to occupying a DCIPS position. Any U.S. citizen may apply.
The duties of this position meets all requirements as a category 4 designation, and shall not be vacated during a national
emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the parent Federal Agency or office to function
