You will serve as a CUSTOMER ADVOCATE (ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST) in the Weapon Portfolio PD3 Division of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Duties

You will provide Command Technical project management and advocacy for the Over the Horizon (OTH) Weapons System Program. You will conduct financial planning requirements and deliverables definition, establish program priorities, and liaison with customers. You will provide technical oversight of the development and delivery of all products and services related to the OTH Program within the Portfolio Directorate. You will lead the engineering and logistics team analyzing and solving complex problems. You will provide for the overall engineering, integration, test and evaluation, and assessment of Navy's Surface Ship Combat/Weapons System. You will provide leadership in multiple In-Service Engineering and Logistics disciplines.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent the next lower pay band NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalency) or grade level in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing project management and advocacy to oversee and review engineering issues related to the development, testing and sustainment of ship combat or weapons systems for an organization.
