About the Position: This position is responsible for a wide range of administrative programs to include policies, procedures and regulations; travel planning and execution; budgetary projections; and overseeing a security program.
Duties
Provide staff advice, assistance, and consultation to leadership in administrative and management direction and coordination of staff actions and projects.
Prepare and execute trip orders, invitational travel orders, itineraries, and voucher submission for domestic and international travel.
Prepare budget projections based on past expenditures, knowledge of the requirements, changes in workload, and future goals of the organization.
Oversee the management of the security program by providing guidance and assistance on all security matters.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (SCI) Security Clearance with Specialized Compartmented Information access.
- Must comply with Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.
- Temporary duty (TDY) travel to various CONUS locations, approximately 5%.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes advising personnel on administrative matters regarding policies, procedures, and regulations; providing guidance and oversight to subordinate staff elements regarding budgetary obligations and commitments to ensure consistency with authorized budget and spend plan; and maintaining oversight of the assigned organization's security program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
