You will serve as a SECURITY ASSISTANT (O/A) in the PROTECTION SUPPORT OPERATIONS DIVISION of NAVBASE GUAM FORCE PROTECTION.
Duties
You will process applications for and issue installation access badges and/or credentials to nonaffiliated civilian personnel who require recurring and long-term installation access.
You will verify required documents for the issuance of permanent ID badges and process requests for the issuance of vehicle decals, temporary passes, contractor or vendor passes, or visitor passes
You will receive visitors, telephonic inquiries and requests, provide front-line face-to-face services, and email appointment requests.
You will ensure appropriate security measures as applicable to the physical security of terminals and performs technical security to protect against unauthorized access and use.
You will use computer software programs to manage data or prepare spreadsheets.
You will maintain daily calendar to schedule appointments, meetings, and conferences.
Requirements

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing customer service support, managing security systems and procedures AND performing clerical and administrative duties to ensure all visitors are processed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Four years of education above high school
OR
A combination of education and experience which, when combined, is equivalent to 100% of the total requirement may be used to meet the specialized experience requirement
