You will serve as a OFFICE SUPPORT (OA) in the CONSERVATION LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICE, ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION BRANCH, ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT DIVISION of MARINE CORPS BASE.

Duties

You will provide procedural information to callers and visitors in response to general inquiries about types of permits/licenses required for a variety of game and wildlife activities. You will inform customers on what forms need to be completed, how to complete the forms, what supplemental information may be required, the status of permit requests and eligibility requirements. You will initiate, review and complete reoccurring database reports on requests and processing of permits/licenses. You will query the database for routine or special reporting requirements. You will provide suspense and follow up on a variety of permit/license activities as directed by the supervisor. You will explain the eligibility requirements for permits/licenses, which include state, local and federal criteria. You will process application fee payments. You will follow established procedures, assemble permit/license papers for review, approval and signature with specific attention to assuring proper content and order of documents.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of General experience at or equivalent to the GS-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled. This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination. Education

You may also meet the minimum qualifications through education and/or combination of education and experience by satisfying one of the following:

Successfully completed at least two full academic years of education above high school.

OR

Have a combination of general experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal 100 percent.
