You will serve as a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST of NAVMEDFORSUPCMD FT SAM.
Duties
You will create strategic public affairs program plans to facilitate communication of information related to public affairs programs, policies, activities, or mission.
You will coordinate public outreach events and public speaking engagements for an activity.
You will provide policy guidance on Public Affairs operations to customers, personnel, and high level officials.
You will prepare and release written information to the public and industry on a program's responsibilities and achievements.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience utilizing federal regulations, policies, and procedure related to public affairs, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requirements, ethics guidelines, and privacy laws.
Experience in media relations, such as working in a press office or journalism.
Experience creating messaging strategies, managing social media accounts, and utilizing various communication channels.
Experience in crisis communication, including developing crisis response plans, managing public perception during challenging situations, and providing accurate and timely information.
Experience writing press releases, speeches, reports, and other materials effectively.
