You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT PROJECT MANAGER (PLCYPLN) within NAVSUP BUSINESS SYSTEMS CENTER OMN.

Duties

You will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of the assigned branch. You will ensure all projects are executed in full compliance with applicable Project Management Methodology (PMM) and Continuous Performance Improvement (CPI) procedures. You will coordinate Information Technology (IT) requirements definitions and scope with sponsors, users. and lead business analysts to clearly define requirements. You will assign work to subordinates, prepare schedules, and monitor execution of work to ensure objectives are completed within established timelines.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 802 level 1 within 12 months of appointment.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting workforce planning (i.e. manpower, resource management) for an Information Technology (IT) program to meet projected goals; 2) Establishing the work schedules, deadlines, and standards for acceptable levels of Information Technology (IT) work; 3) Developing and managing project plans for complex system design projects through development, modification, maintenance, and implementation; 4) Setting and adjusting short-term priorities and preparing schedules for completion of work; and 5) Expressing information effectively, as well as making clear and convincing oral and written presentations. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
