About the Position: Serves as a Senior Military Personnel/Human Resource Assistant responsible for the following: performing assigned work within the JBER Soldier Center Medical Home.
Duties
Tracks and ensures completion of military personnel management actions in accordance with governing procedures and regulations.
Serves as the subject matter expert on Suspension of Favorable Personnel Actions.
Manages the military leave control program to include all absences governed by DA regulation 600-8-10.
Receives inquiries and provides guidance and assistance to departments/services relative to the preparation of recommendations for military awards.
Performs annual Personnel Records Reviews/Financial Records Reviews (PRR?s/FRR?s).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing guidance and/or technical assistance on military personnel matters; preparing military personnel actions, forms, and/or other documentation for entitlements, pay, evaluations, awards, and/or other associated actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
