About the Position: Serve as the main Human Resources Assistant to the Branch Chief with responsibility for participation in the development of a comprehensive plan for internal personnel management of officer and enlisted personnel.
Duties
Prepares, plans, and recommends actions for the procurement, receipt, distribution, and utilization of personnel assigned.
Utilizes online Human Resources systems and tools such as the Integrated Personnel and Pay System - Army (IPPS-A) to enter and obtain required information on officers and warrant officers.
Receives, processes, and analyzes each reporting unit's monthly unit status report.
Interviews officers and warrant officers assigned to this command and provide professional development counseling and other assistance as needed.
Assists in developing and writing administrative policies, procedures, and directives for use in a military personnel management program and monitors conformance with established rules and regulations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent may be required to obtain and maintain a T3 Secret security clearance.

Specialized Experience for GS-7: One year of experience which includes applying military human resources regulations and policies regarding military personnel programs and utilizing automated military personnel systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-06).
