You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the BUSINESS DIRECTOR BRANCH of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. This position is equivalent to the GS-14/15 level. Indian Head, MD $112,015- $183,500 Picatinny, NJ $115,118- $183,500

Duties

You will serve as the command's chief logistician providing stewardship and logistics competency leadership for IHD's warfare system acquisition, ISEA, energetics and munitions acquisition and supportability requirements. You will lead development of strategies to identify and meet current and future policy process and resource requirements. You will serve as the command?s principal advisor and competency lead on all energetics and munition matters. You will develop and sustain an effective program to identify current and future logistics workforce competency requirements. You will provide total logistics process ownership and strategies for energetics and munition systems. You will maximize IHD's contribution to Fleet Readiness through leveraging emerging technologies, fostering innovation and transfer of technology throughout the evolution of programs and processes.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading a technical program in logistics operations and management to assess and advise on business related matters for the effectiveness of an organization.
