The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is surrounding area for Fort Campbell (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration. The position is located at Fort Campbell KY Community Recreation Division. This position is eligible for the NAF benefits package and leave accrual.

Duties

In a patron usage facility, circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory; receives and resolves customer complaints; provides information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilitates and machinery. Assists patrons in use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instructions, demonstrating new equipment, teaching classes, etc. Plans, conducts, publicize and arrange support for special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions. Leads other employees, instructs staff with tasks received from supervisor and distributes and balances work-load. Distributes and balances work- load assuring that each employee has enough work to keep busy. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Must meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required for this position.
• Can open and close a facility between the hours of 0430-2130 to include weekends and holidays.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements are: Work experience, which involved dealing with general public. Applicants meeting the following will be considered Highly Preferred: 6 Months experience leading 4 or more employees 6 Months experience in customer service 6 Months experience in recreation or a recreation program 1 Year experience with a cash register **Applicants that meet the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first.
