This position is located at Fort Campbell, KY- Aquatics. This is a "Flexible" position (0-40 hours) with no eligibility to participate in the NAF Employee Benefits Plans. Duties

Acts as water safety instructor. Manages all swimming lessons and instructs when scheduled, at the assigned aquatics facility. Develops swim program according to students' ability and promotes students to higher level of swimming according to their skills. Instructs all levels of swimming and appropriate strokes, to include front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke and butterfly. Teach students from age groups of infant through adults. Introduces and instructs safety and survival skills to students, when appropriate to level of instruction. Instructors work with lifeguards to ensure that swim lessons are safe at all times. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required for this position.
• In addition, the incumbent will be subject to CNACI background checks due to the requirement to have regular and recurring contact with children.
• Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements are: Work experience related to the duties described above. AND Possession of the following certificates: Water Safety Instructor Certification Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) First Aid Certification (Certificates issued by American Red Cross, Ellis @ Associates, Star Guard or other nationally recognized agencies are acceptable). Highly Qualified candidates will have the following: Must possess a valid Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certification for at least 1 year or more. Must possess a valid Lifeguard Safety Instructor Certification **Applicants that meet the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first.
