Duties

This position is located under the Office of Enforcement Programs and Services (EPS), Firearms and Ammunition Technology Division (FATD) located in Martinsburg, West Virginia. The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of analytical activities relating to the programs under the purview of EPS and assists senior analysts with portions of larger studies relating to Division/Branch programs.

Qualifications

To qualify for a GS-09 (starting salary is $64,957.00) candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-07. GS-09- You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties: Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Specialized Experience is: Compiling and analyzing data; AND Communicating orally and in writing to management. OR Have a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D., if related. OR A combination of education and experience. This will be calculated using your resume and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application. To qualify for a GS-11 (starting salary is $78,592.00) candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-09. GS-11- You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties: Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Specialized Experience is: Compiling and analyzing data using software/databases (eg. Microsoft Office, Visio, Justice Talent Management System, Sunflower); AND Communicating orally and in writing to management; OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
