You will serve as a ANTI-TERRORISM SPECIALIST in the ACS/G3 of MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII.

Duties

You will update instillation plans in support of anti-terrorism, physical security, and critical infrastructure programs. You will support planning and implementation efforts. You will conduct interviews, arrange meetings, develop agendas, serve as recorder for meeting that he/she participates in and publishes formal minutes following such meetings. You will provide training for active duty and civilian workforce. You will perform a variety of related substantive tasks on an as-required basis.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
  • This position may require performance of temporary duty to participate in training and exercise planning and execution.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing agendas and minutes, assisting with higher headquarters assessments, researching vulnerabilities, reviewing foreign travel packages, providing Country specific threat brief's, and drafting endorsements to ensure efficient implementation of all plans impacted in the Anti-Terrorism and Critical Infrastructure portion of the All Threats Plan. Education

You may also qualify based on education OR combination of education and experience, in lieu of the one year specialized experience listed above, through ONE of the following:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

OR

LL.M., if related
