About the Position: Serves as Chief of Training/Exercise Division (TREX) and G-3 program manager for all unit and collective training events associated with units at Forts Richardson, Wainwright and Greely.

Duties

Provides staff actions and assistance to unit commanders and staff agencies for all unit and collective training issues. In support of command training readiness, supervises all individual and collective training for assigned and tenant active units in compliance with DA, TRADOC, I Corps and USARPAC policy. In support of command training requirements, provides oversight of USARAK Air shop functions and activities. Analyzes the annual Command Operating Budget requirements for unit and collective training development and Exercise programs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
