About the Position: The position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE), US Army Armor School, Ft. Moore, Georgia 31905. The "Maneuver Center of Excellence" is located 100 miles south of Atlanta and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Public transportation and free parking is available.

Duties

Enters, corrects and retrieves data from automated supply databases. Makes additions and deletions to the hands receipt files as required. Serves as the credit card holder and makes purchases for commercial supply items. Orders, receives, stores, issues, replenishes, turns-in and inventories supplies and equipment. Maintain warehouse accountability of all Central Issue Facility items.

Requirements

  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment physical examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical heal and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is used to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest. This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • The position is subject to provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban (Lautenberg Amendment). This act bans individuals convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence and certain others from possession or access to firearms or ammunition.
  • This position requires overtime work, some working at night, working on weekends and holidays and may require the incumbent to work alternate or flexible work schedules in support of cyclic training schedules.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ConscientiousnessDecision MakingIntegrity/HonestyInterpersonal Skills Advancement requirement to positions up to GS-05: Candidates may be advanced without time restriction to positions up to GS-05 if the position to be filled is no more than two grades above the lowest grade the employee held within the preceding 52 weeks under his or her latest non-temporary competitive appointment.
