About the Position: This position is with the 88th Readiness Division (RD), Full Time Support Civilian Branch, Regional Personnel Support Center, Human Resources Office located at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin.
The Full Time Support - Civilian Branch is responsible for processing civilian personnel actions for all employees of the 88th Readiness Division. Primary functions include staffing and recruitment, civilian awards, training and leader development, and providing employee benefits information.
Duties
Process various personnel actions to include performance appraisals, award recommendations, and payroll.
Coordinate the in-processing of new personnel.
Provide input to identify work processes and personnel requirements, resources, and services needed to ensure readiness of command.
Certify and screen conditions of employment to prevent Anti-Deficiency Act (ADA) violations.
Provide advice to management on personnel management matters of average difficulty.
Provide assistance and advice for civilian training and leader development, workers compensation, performance management, and employee benefit actions.
Initiate, monitor, and track a large variety of Requests for Personnel Action (RPA).
Assist with managing, monitoring, coordinating, and providing regulatory guidance on civilian personnel actions, organizational structures, and position management.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes interpreting administrative and personnel regulations; providing guidance and/or advice on personnel management and administrative support; initiating civilian personnel actions; and performing support functions in the areas of benefits, record keeping, suspense tracking, correspondence composition and review, supply requisitioning, and position management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Human Resources, Management, or Business Administration.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
