The incumbent will extend critical voice, data, and video capabilities into temporary field offices via the FEMA Enterprise ServiceProvider and provide support as immediate disaster responders. The Logistics and Integration Section is also responsible formanaging inventory of nearly 20,000 items through maintenance, refurbishment, and accountability of all associated sectionequipment while in a steady state of operations.

Qualifications

All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. To qualify for this position at the IC-11 level (starting salary $78,592.00), you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-09 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:  Performing independent and collaborative assignments related to the lifecycle maintenance process and replacement procedures of IT hardware, Assisting with a wide range of IT projects pertaining to the implementation, execution, maintenance, and evaluation of IT systems,  Refurbishing network infrastructure components ; maintaining IT assets, and installing IT equipment in various environments. AND Alternative A For IC-5 through IC-11 Major study--computer science, information science, information systems management, mathematics, statistics, operations research, or engineering, or course work that required the development or adaptation of computer programs and systems and provided knowledge equivalent to a major in the computer field. OR Alternative B: Meet general experience requirements in the "Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions." For IC-11:  Experience that demonstrated accomplishment of computer project assignments that required a range of knowledge of computer requirements and techniques. For example, assignments would show, on the basis of general design criteria provided, experience in developing modifications to parts of a system that required significant revisions in the logic or techniques used in the original development. Accomplishments, in addition to those noted for the GS-9 level, normally involve the following, or the equivalent: Knowledge of the customary approaches, techniques, and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization; Planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls; and Adaptation of guidelines or precedents to the needs of the assignment.
