Qualifications
How Do I Qualify for this Position? To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements: Education GS-12 and GS-13: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position. Experience GS-12 and GS-13: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level in federal service. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled. Some examples of this qualifying experience are: GS-12
Assists in the planning, organization, and directing of Trust Fund systems in all activities required to produce a working system, such as identifying programming change requirements, testing, implementation, trouble shooting, system diagnostics, and writing BOP policy statements, operations memoranda, user procedures, and training materials as it pertains to Trust Fund Systems.
Serves as the staff expert on various committees and work groups which undertake the development or evaluation of major programs and projects within the national Trust Fund operation.
Serves as a national training instructor on an as needed basis and serves as a relief instructor and/or assists in providing instructional coverage for other training classes when needed. Develops and conducts training to BOP employee and assists in conducting similar training to BOP contractors nationwide.
GS-13
Experience in designing, directing and/or providing oversight/guidance for the development, implementation and maintenance of automated financial systems (i.e., Commissary, Inmate Telephone System, TRULINCS, Laundry and Warehouse, and/or TRUFACS)for an organization.
Experience in analyzing information and evaluating data in the formulation and/or modification of existing policies for Trust Fund operations and systems.
Experience in developing plans, programs, procedures which promotes optimum performance or provided guidance to superiors or high level executives.
