About the Position: Headquarters, US Army Forces Command Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Fort Liberty is a culturally diverse area with rural and city populations, co-located at Fayetteville, NC centrally located in the beautiful state of North Carolina, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities. Fayetteville is centrally located between the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.
Duties
The primary is to serve as the Readiness Integration Branch (RIB), Operations and Readiness Directorate, G-3/5/7, HQ FORSCOM, exercising responsibility for planning, directing and supervising branch operations and activities.
Plans, directs and supervises branch operations and activities.
Provides sound recommendations and technical advice to the FORSCOM leadership on emerging issues for assigned units that may have an operational or readiness impact.
Serves as the Command?s subject matter expert/technical advisor for force integration and force analysis processes that impact unit readiness.
Performs delegated personnel management responsibilities.
In the absence of the Operations and Readiness Director, acts as Chief.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance..
- Incumbent is required to perform temporary duty travel (TDY) travel away from the primary duty station up to 15% of the time on an annual basis.
- This position has been designated a Testing Designated Position and is therefore covered by the Civilian Drug Testing Program which requires random drug urinalysis testing.
- Incumbent may be required to work overtime on short notice to include nights, holidays, and weekends.
- This is an obligated position. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing a command programs, to include developing internal policies, directives, and establishing program objectives; developing and implementing compliance readiness for operations; manning, equipping, and training readiness procedures prioritizing mission requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
