This position is in the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention (OCSPP), Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics, Project Management and Operations Division, TSCA Information Management Branch. About OCSPP. This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis. Partial work-from-home flexibilities may be authorized.

Qualifications

We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below: To qualify for the GS-14 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-13 level defined as providing technical advice related to information management technologies or strategies; configuring and maintaining database servers and processes; and managing high volume data for integration into data systems. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: 1) Knowledge of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA); 2) Skill in records management; 3) Knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of information technology processes and procedures; 4) Skill in oral communication; 5) Knowledge of Existing Chemical rulemakings (such as TCSA CBI Rule, TSCA FYIs, etc.); 6) Ability to develop new technology to comply with program standards; 7) Skill in project management; 8) Ability to provide guidance and training to diverse staff. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
