You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the NETWORK AND DIGITAL SYSTEM SUSTAINMENT DIVISION, DIGITAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, PORT HUENEME DIVISION.
Duties
You will serve as a Team Lead within the Navy Tactical Computing Sustainment Branch.
You will be responsible for participating in tests on land-based systems, supporting Combat System Interface Testing (CSIT) and shipboard systems to investigate significant existing or potential operational and maintenance problems.
You will lead the Ship Self-Defense System (SSDS) team in the planning, scheduling, and management of long-range efforts including multiple government agencies and contractors.
You will coordinate maintenance, material assessment, and sustainment objectives/requirements to support SSDS during inspections, depot level ship availabilities, and life-cycle strategic efforts.
You will participate in the planning, reviewing, execution, and monitoring of SSDS requirements and repair/replace recommendations of equipment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading engineering projects to evaluate data, develop reports, and improve Self-Defense Ship combat systems.
