About the Position: Serve as Administrative Officer in support of Office of the Deputy Staff, G-8, Program, Analysis and Evaluation (PA&E) Directorate.
Duties
Assist the Deputy Director by initiating recruitment actions for vacancies within Program, Analysis and Evaluation.
Contact the military and civilian personnel offices to ensure that recruitment actions/vacancy announcements are prepared and to follow the status of such actions.
Maintain liaison with military and civilian personnel and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) offices/specialists to the Program, Analysis and Evaluation leadership in personnel management program responsibilities.
Provide overall guidance on all matters pertaining to travel for military and civilian personnel. Coordinates and expedites request for travel (TDY) through the Director's office and Budget Office.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position may require temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 5% of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education/experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing advice and assistance on development of elements and performance standards; analyzing management controls and administrative functions for improvement by application of automated procedures; developing policy guidance and instructions for effective and efficient administrative management of agency.
OR
Education: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
