You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the Program Executive Office Unmanned and Small Combatants, Mission Modules Program Office (PMS 420) of PEO UNMANNED AND SMALL COMBATANTS. You will provide oversight of an ACAT IC Program's planning, directing and managing all efforts required to design, develop, produce, procure, integrate, deliver, and support operations of Littoral Combat Ships' Mission Modules and Affordable Weapons Systems.
Duties
You will serve as an Assistant Program Manager for the assigned acquisition life cycle program, providing overall direction and guidance for the program organization, administration and civilian personnel.
You will be responsible for the AQS-20 and associated Payload Deployment System program cost, schedule, performance reporting and contract activities, logistics, budget and personnel management for activities all phases of the acquisition life cycle.
You will coordinate acquisition program requirements for the Program Manager across Congressional interest, DoD, Navy, and Industry.
You will oversee identification of resource requirements and development of strategies for program planning, budgeting and execution (PPBE).
You will be responsible for the minehunting and payload deployment system acquisition strategy to include product improvement and technology transition.
You will work with the test community to develop and support execution of the test strategy in accordance with the TEMP.
You will design acquisition strategy and program baseline and direct acquisition life cycle activities and all efforts associated with the program/office through subordinate managers and teams.
You will apply management and business principles to analyze situations, identify problems, probe causes and select courses of action for subordinate managers to pursue.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: coordinating program acquisition life cycle activities (e.g. cost, schedules, performance, contracting, logistics, budget, and strategic planning) to ensure the procurement or sustainment of weapons systems.
