You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM ANALYST for LPD 17 CLASS ACQUISITIONS in the AMPHIBIOUS WARFARE PROGRAM OFFICE (PMS 377) of PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICE SHIPS.
Duties
You will provide information to the Business/Financial Management (BFM) office incident to the preparation of plans and schedules for LPD 17 Flight I and LPD 17 Flight II acquisition.
You will utilize schedules and evaluate actual/projected progress to direct/redirect resources so that projects proceed in an orderly, cost effective, and timely manner.
You will apply innovative approaches to resolve complex acquisition problems involving shipbuilding and ship systems design, integration and production concepts, contract, budgeting, funding constraints, progress, invoicing, and payment methods.
You will review, prepare, and present responses to all source shipbuilding program audits conducted by the Navy and other agencies and administrative and investigative reports which involve program issues related to acquisition management.
You will monitor contractual and legal problems during acquisition, design and construction of ships and associated material and services.
You will review and coordinate modifications to requirements including specifications, statements of work, and other contract and acquisition documentation for follow-on procurements of ships and services contracts.
You will provide interface with BFM staff to prepare plans and schedules, define actions, and take actions and direct resources required to ensure that projects proceed in an orderly, cost effective, and timely manner.
You will perform supervisory duties to include establishing work assignments, setting priorities to be accomplished by the employees in the program, evaluating employee performance, and providing guidance on work and administrative matters.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (or GS-13 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing major acquisition program requirements (e.g., shipbuilding or weapon system design, integration and production concepts, contract, budgeting, funding constraints) to identify issues and recommend process improvements.
