You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SHIPS) in the Machinery Division (R9) of THE REPAIR DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SUBMARINE SUPPORT FACILITY.
Duties
You will provide contract oversight to the Outside Machine Division and support the Contract Oversight Inspector for adherence and
compliance with NSSF' s Contract Administration Plans (CAP) and Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASP).
You will support team goals and objectives in focusing Government and contractor resources t o expeditiously address and
resolve availability schedule and maintenance conflicts.
You will manage and facilitate planning and de-confliction for all production phases associated with R-9 mechanical repair.
You will be responsible for supporting complex projects.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience using various process improvement activities such as Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and Theory of Constraints (TOC) at the GREEN or BLACK belt level and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) methodologies to provide recommendations in process improvements, quality, cost reduction, and establish process metrics and controls.
Experience in gathering, analyzing, and evaluating technical documents such as Industrial Ship Safety Manual, Navy Dive Manual, and NAVSEA Technical documents to draw conclusions and provide recommendations.
Experience in interpreting blueprints, docking plans, sketches, and work requests to translate the information into a detailed technical work procedure in compliance with numerous technical standards.
Experience in using the Work Integration and Scheduling Program (WISP) to ensure work efforts are continuously being documented by the contractors.
Experience with submarine mechanical systems, submarine hull construction and repair, submarine underwater husbandry, and submarine repair and rigging.
