This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This vacancy exists within the office of the PEO CS&CSS, E2S2.

Duties

Exercises full program responsibility for automated logistics systems. Serves as primary functional advisor and analyst in the implementation and execution of tasks within automated enterprise level systems. Responsible for total, cradle to grave intensive logistics management to support a complex, major weapons system from concept through field deployment. This includes developing, executing, and managing a property management/accountability program for all assigned commodity areas. Responsible for enhancing logistics readiness/mobilization and support effectiveness. Manages, monitors, evaluates and coordinates the execution of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for major complex, systems that encompass new and emerging technologies or complicated fielding requirements. Leads and coordinates the development of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) plans for major, complex, systems that encompass new and emerging technologies or complicated fielding requirements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • Selectee must meet position requirements for practitioner certification in (L) Life Cycle Logistics within 60 months as of entrance on duty.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 25% of the time.

Qualifications

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify for this position based on experience your resume must clearly describe at least one year of specialized experience at the NH-02 level in the Federal Service that includes the ability to 1) Leading and coordinating the development of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) plans for complex systems that encompass new and emerging technologies or complicated fielding requirements.; 2) Preparation and processing of acquisition logistics milestone package documentation and processes.; 3) Coordination, execution, and tracking of logistics technical manual verification (TM Verification) efforts, to include the analysis and resolution of system provisioning issues. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 or GS-11 equivalent).
