The Moral Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Support Services Division supports our MWR facilities and Unit Funds at Fort McCoy WI. Fort McCoy is a United States Army installation on 60,000 acres between Sparta and Tomah, Wisconsin, in Monroe County. In 1909, there were two separate camps named Camp Emory Upton and Camp Robinson; in 1926, these camps were joined together to form Camp McCoy.

Duties

Overall management and direction of the Directorate, DMWR Support Division to include direct supervision of IT, Marketing and Finance. Provides policies and guidance to ensure attainment of the established objectives of the division. Directs, develops, and administers plans and procedures; and implements regulations to ensure functions are carried out in accordance with governing laws, policies, regulations and professional standards of service. Provides leadership and supervision and communicates mission and organization goals to subordinates. Applies knowledge of programming, planning, and budgeting and long-range MWR. Directs and develops finance and accounting operations. Maintains accounts showing status of installation allotments, assets, and liabilities. Establishes current and long-range program/services considering user desires. Reviews and evaluates progress of program plans to determine whether overall objectives are being accomplished economically with reference to budget and manpower. Analyzes statistical data and budget reports. Observes each subordinate activity to evaluate the effectiveness of leadership and operation. Meets with managers, coordinates the implantation, and approves plans to meet the garrison objectives. Serves on a variety of activity councils to keep informed of operations and/or to coordinate programs and requirements. Serves as the garrison focal point for DFMWR Support Management policies and practices.

Requirements

  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Incumbent must file a Confidential Statement of Affiliations and Financial Interest in accordance with the requirement of AR 600-50
  • Shift will generally be Mon-Fri, however, will be required to work occasional nights and weekends when mission requires. Regular day off (RDO) is not authorized for this position.

Qualifications

Qualifications must be clearly verifiable in your resume. -Work experience directing one or more DMWR Support Management programs for a garrison, or similar civilian community, for at least one year. Highly Preferred Criteria: All answers to the Highly Preferred Criteria must be visible in your resume to get credit. -2 years work experience with either IT, Marketing and/or Finance -2 years work experience supervising a team -Work experience with strategic planning/focus groups Applicants meeting the qualifications for the Highly Preferred criteria may be referred FIRST to the selecting officials.
