About the position: This position will be assigned to the Arnold Hall, Air Force Academy, Colorado.
This position does not include benefits.
This position requires the incumbent to be able to life 50 lbs. and able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
Must have the physical ability to use a ladder, set up equipment and complete other related tasks as listed in duties.
Duties
Assists in NAF program operation for Cadet Activities & Entertainment and occasionally assists other Arnold Hall activities in joint programs for cadets while adhering to Arnold Hall Student Center mission.
Primary duty is event planning and execution, including but not limited to: suggesting new programs by researching current student trends, determining necessary resources, developing setup and operation plans, scheduling volunteers, shopping, working events, cleanup and storage of event materials, After-Action Reports, and attendance tracking.
Event shifts may occur outdoors, off-base, during uncommon hours, and may require physical labor.
Follows necessary procedures for event accomplishment, such as contracting, vendor communication, marketing timelines, and more.
Performs administrative duties as required, including but not limited to preparing necessary paperwork, attending staff meetings, maintaining a clean workspace, proper storage and cleaning of inventory/supplies, and maintaining event calendar.
Must become a NAF Purchase Card holder after completing necessary training and properly steward cadet funds by understanding and adhering to budgets and event needs.
Greets facility users and provides excellent on-site customer service in the office, building, and at events.
Cultivates MWR (morale, welfare, and recreation) in all interactions with cadets.
Completes emergency maintenance requests, as needed.
Upholds professional communication and appearance, including prompt email responses, utilizing TEAMS, using procedural phone etiquette, and dressing appropriately per office or event shifts.
Must maintain professional discretion during all interactions with cadet volunteers and Cadet Entertainment Club members.
Ability to carry out day-to-day assignments or work major events using self-initiative without immediate direction.
Assists Cadet Activities & Entertainment Manager guide Special Event Staff in tasks/event work.
Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience with practices and procedures related to planning, coordinating, and implementing events and programs; focus on student events preferred.
Computer skills with knowledge of Office Programs, such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and TEAMS.
Must have ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
Must possess skill in dealing with the public.
Must be able to work indoors or outdoors in all types of weather, if required.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
