You will serve as a RANGE MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR in the Range and Training Management Division (RTAMD) of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.

Duties

You will coordinate processes supporting Range and Training Management Division (RTAMD) purchase requests; hazardous material collection and disposal; equipment inventory; and vehicle operations. You will review blueprints and technical specifications of drawings to identify any special requirements. You will perform a variety of computations relative to item costs, specification requirements and charges. You will perform supervisorial administration duties on civilian employees and military service members assigned to the Range Maintenance Branch of RTAMD. You will develop documents for inclusion in future asset planning including information and point papers, power point briefs and standing operating procedures. You will be responsible for planning, assigning, scheduling, inspecting and certifying all general maintenance work performed by assigned range maintenance personnel and support contractors. You will investigate work related problems such as excessive cost or low productivity and determine causes. You will implement corrective actions within their authority to resolve work problems. Recommends solutions to staffing problems, engineering requirements and work operations directed by other supervisors. You will participate as a technical advisor on appropriate review boards and joint working groups as assigned by the Director, Range and Training Area Management Division. You will compile and assist in the development of facilities and live-training systems range maintenance program requirements, assist in the prioritization of those requirements, and provide specific oversight of the execution. You will oversee quality control and execution of installation real-property maintenance contracts, ensuring compliance with tasking, and quality of work. You will assist in ensuring non-facilities range maintenance contracted action complies with required actions. You will maintain oversight of an internet based maintenance reporting system that captures customer requested maintenance actions. You will serve as the Non-Tactical Vehicle (NTV) Fleet Manager and the Safety Manager for MCIWEST AC/S G-3/5. You will develop the budgets for Range Maintenance including; Range Improvement Program; GIS and Computer Aided Drafting software; and projecting temporary additional duty funds for NEPA, GIS, OSHA, and Industrial Hygiene training.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing planning on a multitude of projects and initiatives relative to live-fire ranges and training areas, and execution of real-property maintenance contracts to maximize training opportunities through the use of integrated airspace, maritime space, and multi-training areas into real time, live fire and maneuver training.
