This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Base National Capital Region, in Washington, DC.
Duties
As a Building Management Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting in contributing to overall agency productivity; and follow up to ensure that client needs have been met and appropriate changes have been implemented to improve program efficiency.Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-09 level, applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07 or equivalent) in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Specialized experience include: using computer assisted programs preparing architectural plans/drawings; managing building operations, maintenance, repair, and alteration programs; advising on optimal use of building space and facilities; directing activities related to building services and repair; preparing related building maintenance budgets; and coordination in obtaining items and services.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable.
