This position is located in the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA), Industrial Operations (IO) directorate, Office of the Designated Approving Authority (ODAA).
Duties
As an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) you will be responsible for the following duties:
Provide policy interpretation, recommendation, and guidance to the NAO mission which performs Cybersecurity oversight activities including RMF security control assessments of cleared contractor information systems.
Support the managment and technical support of the NISP eMASS application responsible for the RMF assessment & approval of cleared contractor information systems.
Advise & assist Authorization Officials (AO) on the NAO mission by providing cybersecurity research, analysis, and risk recommendations for program and process improvements.
Support nationally, analyze, assess, evaluate, verify, & validate cleared contractor information systems security plans and controls and deliver risk recommendations to the AO.
Attend and represent NAO at conferences, working groups, and training events to convey NISP and RMF implementation guidance relating to industrial security program.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GG/GS 12 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Senior level knowledge of advanced information technology (IT) principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices; performing and observing assessment, inspections and reviews at contractors facilities safeguarding classified information in information systems; evaluating and verifying contractor security plans for computer systems, networks, information systems and telecommunication systems; documenting security plan deficiencies; performing IT vulnerability assessments and identifying countermeasures to decrease operational risk, preparing risk recommendations to risk executives to enable risk-based decision making.
Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:

2.Cyber security: Protect and defend information and information systems in order to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability. (AKA Information Assurance)

4. Customer Service: Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
