About the Position: This position is located at the U S Army Military Police School in Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is in Pulaski County, Mo. Bordering the installation to the North are the towns of Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2hr. drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield is a little more than an hour's drive to the West of Fort Leonard Wood.
Duties
Provide a broad range of training support services in the Behavioral Science training subject area.
Assist course managers and/or instructors in planning and other administrative aspects of management of the division activities by serving as a DTMS administrator.
Assist with course preparation by acting as Test Control Officer in order to receive and deliver testing materials.
Collect and maintain statistics for the division; gather information and prepare quarterly and annual reports for TRADOC, DA, and DOD.
Compose and present briefings on training support issues relevant to the Family Advocacy Training Initiative; maintain student rosters and personnel data.
Prepare in final form all types of documentation and forms incident to office management.
Prepare travel requests and all associated actions and documentation including monitoring and input to the Defense Travel System (DTS) data base ensuring travel needs, settlements, and discrepancies are analyzed and adjusted in a timely manner.
Receive calls, greet visitors, and direct to supervisor or other staff members only those contacts needing their attention or action.
Operate computer to input data to data bases, spreadsheets, etc. and/or to produce final typed material.
Monitor outgoing mail for enclosures, dates, signature, complete addresses, and destinations.
Requirements
- This position requires a Secret Clearance.
- Pre-employment physical required. Position may also require an annual physical or medical surveillance examination. Heavy physical lifting of items up to and including 75 pounds will be required.
- This position requires the employee drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required for the position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: providing administrative support such as greeting customers, preparing written reports, maintaining files, answering telephones, and providing technical support to a training function including conducting assessments, coordinating training, and monitoring training records.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-6).
