About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position serves as a Supervisory Intelligence Specialist (Operations) and Cyber Technical Expert for the Cyber Division within the Threat Systems Management Office (TSMO) with duty location Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
Duties
Represents the Cyber Division Chief, TSMO as a Cyber Technical Expert.
Leverages Cyber expertise to win support for the TSMO?s Cyber programs.
Prepares and executes the division and/or branch level cyber plans.
Tracks and audits to ensure compliance with policies and/or Rules of engagements for Cyber or CAT missions.
Technically and administratively supervises subordinates.
Enforces and tracks policies, methods, and oversight to Ensure Red Teams working under TSMO authorizations maintain full compliance with operational boundaries.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- Requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 35% of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and subsequently maintain certifications designated under CJCSI 6510.05 and Army Regulation AR380-53 for performance of Red Team lead/operator duties.
- All TSMO employees are subject to extended temporary duty (TDY) travel or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
- May be required to complete specific training, physical examination, and immunization requirements as appropriate for deployments.
- Stress is inherent in the nature of work: The many short-suspense actions and pressures of time from nearly all contacts contribute to heightened demands.
- Under crisis operations, may be subject to short notice expanded hours and possible recall situations and irregular work hours, including weekends and holidays. Overtime/shift work may be required.

Experience with methods used for software intensive testing and overarching full-spectrum Red Team testing.
Experience leading intelligence analysis, coordination, and integration for threat related matters.
Experience with defensive and offensive techniques for use in the exploitation of information systems, commands, major defense targets, and/or deployed units.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-13).

Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
