You will serve as a IT CYBER SECURITY SPECIALIST (INFO SEC)
in the COMMAND ELEMENT of II MARINE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE.

Duties
You will conduct regular assessments of the command and subordinate command Cyber Security Programs and participate in Commanding General Readiness Inspections (CGRI), as needed.
You will interpret and implement Cyber Security policies from higher headquarters to determine impact and appropriate response.
You will review customer support, system administrator, and network support procedures to ensure proper implementation of Cyber Security programs and required security controls.
You will maintain a Cyber Security budget for equipment, training, and personnel.
You will develop, collect, maintain, and review for updates; the internal Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) resources for Cyber Security Operations.
You will coordinate with Information Technology professionals in network and system design to ensure appropriate system security policies are planned and implemented.
You will analyze, develop, implement, and maintain systems, programs, policies, procedures, and tools to ensure integrity, availability, and confidentiality of information systems.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- You will be subject to recall during emergency situations or on an as needed basis in order to fulfill mission requirements.
- You will be required to obtain and sustain related training and certification as required by the Marine Corps. Within 6 months of hire date, you must meet appointed Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) training and certification requirements.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing oversight and technical expertise for the implementation of Cyber Security and Information Assurance programs AND ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, and maintenance of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.
In addition to the specialized experience, you must demonstrate competency in the following:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include:
Analyze, develop, implement, and maintain systems, programs, policies, procedures, and tools to ensure integrity, availability, and confidentiality of information systems.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include:
Assist higher headquarters and external auditors as required in the identification, gathering, and remediation of vulnerabilities or incident response.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include:
Preparing and advising Certifying Authority Representative (CAR) on Cyber Security project status and critical issues as required.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include:
Assess security events to determine impact and implement corrective actions.
