Job opening: SUPERVISORY TECHNOLOGY DIRECTOR

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TECHNOLOGY DIRECTOR in the COMBAT DEVELOPMENT DIRECTORATE (CDD) of COMNAVSPECWARDEVGRU.

Duties

You will provide subject matter expertise (SME) related to cost, schedule and performance parameters and the strategies related towards development and fielding of technology capabilities. You will delegate the full range of supervisory duties including those associated with the immediate and intermediate levels of supervision for staff of approximately 21 civilian personnel. You will serve as technical and programmatic lead for numerous critical, high priority command technology projects. You will develop contacts for the purpose of fostering technological information exchange. You will leverage resources/technology/capability from other organizations in support of related programs and efforts.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • This position is subject to periodic counterintelligence (CI) scope polygraphs.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, prioritizing, coordinating or directing research, development, testing, evaluation, long-term objectives, and implementation of all technical capabilities and acquisition strategies for a command organization; and forecasts, executes, and directs program personnel, materials, and financial requirements and resources.
