About the Position: Serves as an Executive Assistant to the Senior Leaders at Headquarters, U.S. Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM), located at Fort Sam Houston, TX.
Duties
Responsible for the direction and performance of all administrative support functions and associated managerial tasking support of the Senior Leaders.
Ensures coordination within the IMCOM HQs staff and with IMCOM Directorates and Garrisons, external agencies and offices as necessary.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience with tracking all correspondences and other various materials that comes in for a review and signature. Maintaining the leader's calendar for conferences, briefings, hearings, speaking engagements, etc. Coordinating/creating/reconciling all travel and lodging for personnel through government wide travel system. Reconcile vouchers and payments. Experience with electronic calendar scheduling such as calendars used in Microsoft Outlook. Using Protocol to plan formal/informal functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Communications, Technical Writing. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
