The Branch Supervisor position is located in the Operations Branch of the Probate Division of the District of Columbia Superior Court. The Operations Branch is responsible for the triage and processing of paper and electronic filings, processing court orders, responding to customer inquires, providing courtroom support and processing financial transactions within the Probate Division.
Duties
The Branch Supervisor is responsible for providing management and supervision of branch operations in compliance with applicable Court rules; Court and division policies and processes/ and division business procedures.
Requirements
- Background and security investigation are required.
- A probationary period of one (1) year must be successfully completed.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma with at lest eight (8) years of administrative experience, which includes two (2) years of experience working in a court, legal or public service environment. Plus one (1) year of supervisor experience.
Graduation from the Courts' Management and Training Program may substitute for one (1) year of supervisory experience. You must provide documentation of your management training (i.e. copy of certificate) with your application.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or higher plus four (4) years of administrative experience of which include three (3) years of probate related experience in a court, legal or public service environment. Plus two (2) years of supervisory experience.
