You will serve as a TRAINING INSTRUCTOR in the Marine Corps Communication-Electronics School (MCCES) of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.

Duties

You will repair and present formal classroom instruction using approved materials and instructional methods on advanced electronics theory, signals and circuit analysis. You will Conduct assigned periods of instruction in accordance with the Systems Approach to Training (SAT). You will employ information age and student centric learning techniques in all periods of instruction. You will validate the classroom and all training aids are prepared before any period of instruction ensuring 100% availability and serviceability of all material. You will supervise the conduct of written examinations where required validating the integrity of the examinations and answering any student questions. You will document and report final results of any written examinations by the end of the testing day. You will conduct instructor progression in accordance with the ACTS Academic Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing and employing multisim circuit emulators to teach advanced electronics theory through test and measurement principles, techniques, and objectives. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related

or

Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Percentage of the required education plus percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
