Duties
You will be responsible for interpreting, planning, evaluating, and coordinating the effective implementation of logistics programs as they relate to unclassified and classified Information Technology (IT) systems.
You will develop, coordinate, implement, and maintain policies for DoD acquisition logistics activities and processes from concept exploration through delivery and support.
You will lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of logistical actions using Information Technology Procurement Requests (ITPR), the Procurement Request Tool, and the Acquisition Management System (AMS).
You will advise on all aspects of logistics management with a focus on IT and related cybersecurity requirements as they relate to shipping, storage, accountability, inventory, and compliance with applicable directives.
You will act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for classified media destruction/shipment.
You will prepare and present presentations concerning any aspect of acquisition, Configuration Management (CM), or logistics to technical personnel, managers, Technical Program Mangers (TPM?s), and higher-level officials.
You will manage the logistics aspects IT systems throughout their lifecycle, ensuring adherence to Federal, DoD, and DON lifecycle policies and guidance; integrating and controlling various forms of lifecycle technical data.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For GS-12: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing logistics lifecycle support and configuration management functions with unclassified and classified Information Technology (IT) Systems and equipment.
For GS-11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting with unclassified and classified IT Systems and equipment for logistics lifecycle support.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
For GS-11: A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree;
OR
Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree;
OR
An LL.M. degree in a field directly related to the position being filled.
