You will serve as a Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Administration/Logistics Department of OFFICER TRAINING COMMAND.

Duties

You will manage life-cycle phases of application systems to ensure efficiency in information technology (IT) operations. You will manage the administration of systems engineering to ensure that applications are optimized for functionality. You will assess new database technologies to determine compatibility with customer requirements. You will administer an organizations information technology (IT) life cycle management program to ensure organizations mission, goals, and objectives are met. You will analyze information technology (IT) program effectiveness to determine if improvements or modifications are necessary.

Requirements

  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area ISSM (722) level intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Monitoring and evaluating systems' compliance with Information Technology (IT) security requirements; 2) Assisting in the implementation of IT security policies and Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) duties; 3) Trouble shooting and resolving IT technical problems and providing assistance to customers; 4) Establishing network access to enable customers to gain local or remote access; and 5) Performing duties as the command representative for IT programs and operations.
