This HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) position, is located in the personnel and administrative section (S1) of a Brigade/Group/Troop Command and is part of the CA HHD STARC.

Duties

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, TEMPORARY POSITION NOT TO EXCEED 1 YEAR. Selectee may be non-competitively extended up to 4 years if/when funding becomes available in accordance with CNG FPH 001. The primary purpose of the HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY), GS-0201-9, is to serve as the senior personnel NCO and has responsibility for overseeing and ensuring the accomplishment of work performed in the areas of personnel management and administration.

Qualifications

General Experience: Possess a valid understanding of the basic principles and concepts of human resources functions and programs. HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY), GS-0201-9: Must have at least 24 months experience using references and resource materials and experienced in program functions such as, maintaining personnel records, counseling, or classification and assignments; Experience performing personnel functions associated with preparing and maintaining position descriptions and manual records, personnel classification or usage, quality force management, managing personnel records and researching record data; Experience operating a computer and using varied computer programs; Experience of personnel programs gained in a classroom or as an on-the-job trainee; Experience using human resources business elements and can discuss terminology, concepts, principles, and issues related to this competency.
