You will serve as a DEPUTY OFFICER IN CHARGE in the Wounded Warrior Regiment of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will assess patient needs and assist them and their family when and where needed.
You will provide support to wounded, ill, and seriously injured marines, designated sailors, and their families.
You will establish and maintain an open line of communication between patients, parent commands, family members, hospital staff and any other outside agency.
You will provide daily accountability of patients, which varies from 25 to 50 marines.
You will initiate transfers by service record on Marines who require long term medical care at Brooke Army Medical Center.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Serving organizations (e.g., Wounded Warrior Regiment (WWR)) as a liaison between medical centers and patience in assessing non-medical needs; AND providing assistance/support during all phases of recovery and rehabilitation to assist with the return to full duty or transition to civilian life.
