The incumbent of this position serves as the Senior Emergency Management Specialist (EMS) under the direction of the Chief, Programs Operations Division, (TSO-22), The incumbent supports the implementation of internal, agency-wide emergency preparedness, response and recovery planning including coordination of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Emergency Response Team (ERT) and management of the FTA Continuity of Operations (COOP) program.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications for the grade.To qualify for the Grade 14, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-13, it must include:
Experience with regulatory requirements for safety and emergency management.
Experience with national disaster preparedness planning, including serving on any special task force.
Experience with emergency response plans, in support of emergency or national disasters events.
Experience developing and implementing a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge in Emergency Preparedness
Knowledge in Operations Planning
Skilled in Communication skills
