About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, HQ 513TH Military Intelligence BDE, Automation MGT OFC.

Duties

Serves as Cloud Architecture Specialist performing work in the development, delivery, administration, and support of mission-enabling cloud-based information technology (IT) systems, services, and software. Capture requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware, and operating system environment, on- prem, hybrid and cloud topologies, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, system inputs and output. Provide technical subject matter expertise in support of the organization?s initiatives in cloud computing and data analytics with a focus on the design of systems and services that run on cloud platforms. Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, product configuration, unit testing, production deployment and ensure delivered solutions meet requirements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required 10% or less of the time.
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
  • Required to satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required certification for this position as outlined in DoD Manual 8140.03, Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program, dated 15 February 2023.
