About the Position: Serves as a IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Applications Software) for the Joint Activities Command at Fort Liberty, NC.

Duties

Use comprehensive knowledge of Cyberspace Operations Information Technology (IT) principles in order to design and develop the advanced Cyber Training Course. Utilize advanced information technology (IT) knowledge and competencies to create, maintain, and troubleshoot infrastructure, student computing platforms, and author course automations. Primary educator and subject matter expert to the commander to provide oversight for the implementation and execution of the commands Cyber Training Course. Advise senior leaders and presents information on cyberspace operations, education, and technologies. Conduct course lectures and exercises to educate students in accordance with the Cyber Training Course curriculum.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • This position is subject to perform temporary duty up to 10%% of the time.
  • Incumbent must be willing to submit to Counter Intelligence Polygraph if required.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless previously completed.
  • This is an Information Assurance Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for certification at Level I in Information Assurance Management (IAM-I) within 6 months or less of entrance on duty.
  • This is a drug testing designated position and requires the incumbent to complete a drug test examination prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
