You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the Heavyweight/Lightweight Torpedo Production Division Quality Office of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA, located in Keyport WA.
Duties
You will review torpedo work packages for compliance to procedures/requirements. Documents Objective Quality Evidence.
You will monitor and track Corrective and Preventive Action Program findings.
You will, as part of the Material Review/Control Board, review Planners/Engineers recommendations and ensure recommendations are in compliance with requirements and either works the asset, disposes of it, or returns it to the system.
You will inspect work areas, products, procedures, and processes for QA compliance; conduct self-assessments, safety reviews, and roving inspections/audits of work areas.
You will review/evaluate /Submit Technical Manual Deficiency Evaluation Report (TMDER) or Requests for Problem Resolution (RPR) as needed.
You will investigate activity quality capabilities and resources and recommend policy changes or adjustment of resources for specific situations.
You will perform internal and/or external audits/surveys (individually and as a team member) of projects, processes, procedures, and other types of audits as assigned.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing the production, maintenance, repair, testing and/or troubleshooting of torpedoes to provide sustainment or problem resolution.
For GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: monitoring, controlling, or maintaining the quality of naval combat weapon system development in quality assurance, inspection, production, or related areas.

Education
Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:
For GS-11:
A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree;
OR
Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree;

An LL.M. degree in a field directly related to the position being filled;
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
For GS-09:
A Master's or equivalent graduate degree;
OR
Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Master's or equivalent degree;
OR
An LL.B. or J.D., in a field directly related to the position being filled
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
