You will serve as the lead for the Quality Management program in Material Readiness Department, Warehouse Operations West of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Logistics Center, Keyport Division, Naval Undersea Warfare Division, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania (NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA) located in Keyport, Washington.

Duties

You will monitor and assess the organizations quality program and elements of the program. You will review and evaluate supply system operations and procedures through periodic audits and surveillance inspections. You will conduct statistical analysis, develops metrics and reporting. You will identify deficiencies, implement corrective measures, and improve processes to enhance mission effectiveness and efficiency. You will provide the metrics to document and measure the success of these new approaches and methodologies since appropriate guidelines would not necessarily be transferable from program to program. You will collaborate with Quality Management Systems to include Corrective Action Preventive Action utilized by Naval Undersea Warfare Center Keyport. You will gauge compliance with directives and established processes.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: reviewing the organizations programs for quality by monitoring and reviewing processes to ensure any deficiencies are addressed and the organization is properly supported.
