You will serve as the Depot Quality Manager for the Undersea and Combat System Depot Division of Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Keyport, Washington (NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA).

Duties

You will supervise and manage government quality specialists and quality inspectors. You will contract for, manage and evaluate quality management (QM), quality control (QC), and quality assurance (QA), contractor performance. You will develop, implement, and manage professional growth programs that improve QM, QC, and QA skills for those performing related duties. You will develop and manage workforce shaping strategies considering existing and future work profiles, customers, and requirements ensuring sufficient technical support for internally and externally assigned work. You will perform Resource Manager functions including personnel development and supervision, the development, approval, and revision of procedures, standard operating processes, facility planning/improvements, etc. You will be required to utilize knowledge and experience with depot level processes for aviation, ship systems, submarine, lightweight and heavyweight torpedo(s). You will maintain proactive and collaborative relationships with technical leadership with other engineering organizations including, but not limited to, Technical Design Agents, In-Service Engineering Agents, Technical Warrant Holders, etc.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing quality systems (i.e., management, control, assurance) to ensure compliance with practices and procedures for an undersea or combat systems depot division.
