About the Position: Position located at U.S. Army Cadet Command, 4th Brigade, HQS, JROTC, Fort Liberty, NC (formerly known as Fort Bragg, NC)
Duties
Serve as Senior Operations and Training Specialist for the junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) Program within the Brigade.
Advise the Chief, JROTC Operations and Brigade leadership on the scheduling of over 100 JROTC units for annual training, inspections, and visits.
Ensure training and inspection plans are synchronized with Brigade Senior Reserve Officers Training Corps (SROTC) operations to maximize SROTC Battalion support to affiliated JROTC units.
Prepare and publish draft and final annual training requirements and policies for all JROTC units in the Brigade area.
Establish new JROTC and National Defense Cadet Corps (NDCC) programs and assists in the disestablishment of JROTC/NDCC Programs.
Billing official for the Brigades JROTC Automated Government Purchase Card Training Program.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 50% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period.

Experience in the use of automated database and analytical tools in order to support training programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

PH.D or equivalent graduate degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or completion of all requirements for a LL. M degree from an accredited college or university
